Easter Sunday!!

Happy Easter Everyone! We had a nice day with our family. The Easter bunny came and brought Austin a big basket full of some great things!! He got lots of candy, a Dora Placemat, New shoes, a fun squishy blue toy thiny (no clue what you call them :) Coloring books and a lime green Easter Bunny

Austin Was so thrilled with everything in his basket! He wanted all the candy opened right away! We stopped after 3 were opened!

We dressed him in his Easter outfit that I got at The Childrens Place. (Love that store!)
He looked so cute. He was sitting in his chair waiting for
Grandma and Uncle Eric to get to our house!

When Grandma got to our house she of course brought him an Easter basket!! He got Eggs, Peeps, and 2 Dora DVD's Athena could not help herself she had to sniff it all out!

We did an Easter Egg hunt in the back yard. There were 20 eggs and each
had 4 gummy bunnies in them. Each one he found he had to open them up one by one
and each the gummies out of them as he found them!
We finally got him to just pick up the eggs and put them in his bucket

He needed to eat a couple more Easter Eggs when he got inside! :)

We had an awesome Easter Dinner! Ham, Cheesy Garlic Mashed Potatos, Hot Rolls, Mixed veggies. We had Cheese cake for dessert! Austin Colored a picture for everyone that came and we used them as their place cards with a chocolate bunny! After everyone left Austin was pooped out! He made himself a bed on the floor and watched one of his new Dora DVD's from Grandma! He did not want to take a nap earlier in the day so he was wiped out!

Everyone had a good time and left with full bellies! Misson Accomplished! Great Grandma and Grandpa Ross got Austin some new sidewalk chalk that we will be trying out tommorow!! He will love them!

Project Time!

Today is a big day!! 5 years in the making!! We are going to go buy our wood floors for our living room. I am so excited to get it all done! We have wanted wood floors in our living room since we built our house. It was never in the budget to do so, but we decided to use our tax return and finally get them done! The big install will happen next weekend. this is the color that we are going with:

I think it will look so good! I just ordered the area rug too! I got a super deal on it. It was $199.99 but then went on sale for one day only for $99.99. Gotta love the savings!!

I will for sure post pics of before and after! I plan on staying out of the way and letting Dave and Tom do it. We should be able to get the install done in a day! Fingers Crossed since I have alot of company coming that Sat. Night!

Easter is this weekend and we are getting ready for our Family to come over for a great dinner!
Dave is in charge of making the Ham this year. He is a great cook. My mom will be bringing over her Garlic and Cheese Mashed Potatos! Love them!!! Dave's Grandma will be bringing dessert and I will be making bread and Garlic noodles!

We will have an Easter Egg Hunt in the back yard for Austin. We took him last weekend to our local Easter egg hunt. He had a good time, but the kids could only get 3 eggs each. Austin got 3 right away and did not really understand why he could not go grab more to put in his bucket. So we went and bought a bunch of plastic eggs and will scatter them all over the yard and he will have a blast running around and picking them all up. Decorating for the holidays

We put up the Christmas Tree today! I love it. It looks so nice. I just added lime green in to my living room decor, so I had to go out and get some new lime green ornaments to go with the theme. We hung the stockings over the fireplace. Austin was at Grandma's house when we were decorating. when he got home he walked in with his mouth wide open and said "whoa Nice" It was so funny!!


My Mom and I went shopping on black Friday and we had a blast. we shopped for 7 hours straight! I got Austin all done for christmas and a few other people done too! My Mom Bought us new curtains for the living room. and new pillows for the couch! We love them!!

I love the new lime green accents with the teal blue!! Now if we could only find a way to make all the toys disapear!! Something tells me Austin would not be too happy with that idea!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We are getting ready to travel to Dave's family in Montello. We are excited to see Ellen and baby Jackson. Dave's sister is home from college. It will be nice to see everyone.

Got my newspaper this morning and mapped out the sales for Black Friday shopping!! Call me crazy, but I love it! It is my hunting season. Hunting for the best deals and beating the rush to get the limited items in the store. There are a bunch of great deals this Friday. I am looking at getting a bunch of stuff for Austin, and get his Christmas shopping done!!

The Holidays are here!!

We are busily getting ready for the holidays at our house. We are hopping to put the Christmas lights up on Thanksgiving Day. That is if the snow that fell this morning goes away and the roof is clear! We are planning on going to Dave's Parents house in Montello for Thanksgiving. The drive there is about an hour and forty min. the car trip is not a fun experience as Austin hates long car rides. He gets really ancy and does not like to be strapped down for too long! He has to always be on the move! Dave's Grandparents, Don & Karen Ross gave Austin his Christmas present a little early this year! They got him a dvd system for the car. It has been a lifesaver. We just pop a dvd in and away we go. He does not make a peep!! He loves watching Blues Clues and Yo Gabba Gabba on it. So Thank You very much Great Grandpa & Grandma!!
